Frequently Asked Questions

Answers for buyers, miners, and general company questions - search or browse by category.

Buyers & Offtakers

Minimum volumes vary by mineral and current supply availability. Submit a Buyer Inquiry with your target mineral and required volume, and our sourcing desk will confirm what can be committed for your timeline.
We work under standard FOB (Free on Board) and CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) terms from Dar es Salaam. The specific terms for your order are confirmed during contracting.
Orders are typically secured via escrow or a Letter of Credit (LC) prior to shipment, as outlined in our sourcing process. Specific payment terms are agreed during contracting.
A representative sample is drawn and tested prior to shipment, and can be dispatched to your nominated laboratory for independent verification if required.

Miners & Sellers

Your ore is weighed and sampled on-site, then tested to determine its true mineral content. Payment reflects that verified grade rather than a flat rate per kilogram.
Once the assay grade is confirmed, payment is issued promptly. Exact timing can vary slightly by buying center - ask your local Westfield contact for specifics.
We accept raw ore and concentrate for Tin, Tungsten, and Tantalum. Bring your production to your nearest buying hub in Shinyanga, Geita, or Kagera for weighing and sampling.

Compliance & Traceability

Yes. Our sourcing and processing chain follows ITSCI's due-diligence guidelines, with ore tagged at origin and tracked through every handoff to the smelting facility.
Ore origin is verified at the mine site and recorded against the Primary Mining License (PML) it was produced under, creating a documented chain of custody from pit to port.
Shipments are accompanied by assay results, weight verification records, and export licensing/customs clearance documentation in line with Tanzania's 2017 Mining Code of Conduct.
